Logically Strange
I’m taking a few day’s off from work due to some personal issues but can’t seem to keep off my laptop when I get the chance. Those that know me keep moaning that I am a workaholic. Oh well, we can’t change what we are
So as I am working, but not at work I thought I would take the time to share some of the things that I intend to happen here on my blog and also within Strange Logic itself. Before I do that though, let me tell you a little about myself and some of the key members of Strange Logic.
Raf Ahmed and André Shapps are my fellow directors in the company. Some of you within the SEM & media business will have met Raf, and some of you within the music and IT industry will know André.
Raf and I met at the Press Assocation, and as well as being the lead developer on a huge project taking an aging, regularly failing immense database application that was utilised by TV, radio, print, web site publications day in and day out and rewritten by him and his team to enable realiability, resilience and scaleability (let alone functionality), he was part of a project that sold for £95million. He is a solid, reliable, quite and staid personality to balance my huge mouth and on top of that all a good friend. Strange Logic would be nothing without Raf and it is his Logic balanced with my Strange that has enabled the business to be where it is today
André was one of the very first developers at Psion and was key in constructing the operating system that has now evolved into Symbian, the operating system used on many mobile phones. He was also a member of the famous 80s band Big Audio Dynamite, also known as BAD and still is regularly involved with music, though more as his alter ego, DJ Shapps !
Raf looks after the operational side of the business, Andre is the guiding force for our software teams and I am the one with the weird visions that Raf and Andre enable - Thanks Guys
